If you can say one thing that’s sure to happen on Friday, then the majority of the audience arriving after the Khutbah has a pretty good shot of being #1. Not only do they miss a part of (or in the some cases the entire) Khutbah, but a chance to pile up some Ajr as well. Talk about economic loss!

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Sahih Al-Bukhari 2.51)

The Prophet said, “When it is a Friday, the angels stand at the gate
of the mosque and keep on writing the names of the persons coming to
the mosque in succession according to their arrivals. The example of
the one who enters the mosque in the earliest hour is that of one
offering a camel (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one
offering a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg
respectively. When the Imam comes out (for Jumua prayer) they (i.e.
angels) fold their papers and listen to the Khutba.”

So that makes it, at the least, 52 eggs, per year. And that too good eggs! So what are you waiting for?

Test your faith!

السلام عليكم

Have you heard this hadith before ?:
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever comes (to the mosque) in the first hour, it is as if he sacrificed a camel. Whoever comes at the second hour, it is as if he sacrificed a cow. Whoever comes at the third hour, it is as if he sacrificed a horned ram. Whoever comes at the fourth hour, it is as if he sacrificed a chicken. Whoever comes at the fifth hour, it is as if he sacrificed an egg. Then when the imam comes out, the angels come in to listen to the reminder (khutbah).”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 841; Muslim, 850
